Public Camping | Pirates of the Pontchartrain

Public Camping

CAMPING  There are three types of campground areas: Public Camp, Pirate/Ship Camp, and Worker Camp, each in their own area. They are all fairly rustic, designed for weekend camping where you spend very little of the day in the campground.

  1. PUBLIC CAMPING is mostly for sleeping and providing a place to stay before/after a day of fun at the festival.
  2. PIRATE & SHIP CAMPING - Groups that want to camp together as a group, either weekend or all week long.
  3. WORKER CAMPING (Participants) is strictly for participants who travel to Louisiana or employed at the festival.
  4. SCOUT CAMPING We just added scout camping for this Friday/Saturday/Sunday (any pack, patrol, troop, crew, scout with a buddy) can camp for free, admission to the festival is purchased separately.

We have just added a free Scouts/Patrol Camping ticket to our ticket reservation system.  Scouts can reserve as individuals or as a group.  Those reserving as a unit will be put together, those booking individually…we won’t know and will figure it out Friday night.  Note: the Molly Ringwalds concert is ages 21+ but you will probably hear them in the campground until 11pm.  I hope they like 80’s music. https://www.lapop.net/index.php/PublicCamp
TO RESERVE A SCOUT SPOT: From our website www.LaPOP.net order the camping "Scouts/Patrol Camping" for the number of people camping. It is free for scouts but must be reserved.

All TICKETS are DATE SPECIFIC. We can NOT TRANSFER admissions.
Please carefully select the CORRECT date.
